What is STEM Education?
STEM education is an integrated, interdisciplinary approach to learning science and technology by providing hands-on and relevant learning for students. It prepares youth for college and a wide range of high-wage, high-demand jobs. We need to continually educate young people for success in school, college and the rapidly changing technology world.
“In the 21st century, scientific and technological innovations are necessary for the challenges of globalization and a knowledge-based economy. To succeed in this new global technology society, students need to develop their capabilities in STEM at the highest levels.”
National Science Foundation
